Atiku’s varsity replaces 11 profs with foreigners

THE American University of Nigeria, Yola, Adamawa State, has sacked 11 indigenous professors and engaged the services of fresh 17 expatriates to fill some of the vacant positions.

The institution is owned by the former Vice-President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Vanguard learnt that the sacked lecturers were fired for allegedly being critical of the university’s Senate, even as the relations between the sacked lecturers and their employers had ‘’been that of cat and mouse’’

But, the university’s vice president in charge of Communication and publicity, Mr. Abba Tahir described the scenario as normal with the university’s culture.
